being a good girl.
and trying to do some work..so that i will not die in the following weeks.
work is coming in.

the past few days have been fun.
spending so much time with family.
keep losing money tho.
i lost $4.50 on the first day..during the game of in-between.
then yesterday..i lost 4 peanuts during ban luck.
we all started with 10 peanuts.

hopefully i get to drink my australian wine tonight.
ive been waiting oh-so-long to drink it.
we bought it 7 years ago.
ps. my becky doesnt know that wine doesnt have an expiry date.wahaha.

that i wld be able to make friends at my first marketing seminar.
cos i was scared.

so i've noticed..
guys in spore are becoming more and more metro.
some couples..the guy dresses better than the girl.
you can see the effort made.
and yes..it is much better.
cos there are more "eye-candies" in that sense.
but i'm wondering..
so are guys gonna be like..more sensitive and what not?
demanding more attention and all. emotionally?
okk...personal preference here.
guys who are more secured and independent.
sensitive when the need arises.
but not all the time.
for eg. if there is a change in expression on the girl's face.for a brief moment.
there is no need to be so "overly-concerned".
a person cant be happy all the time right.
as i've mentioned..its a personal preference.
i believe [sort of] in gender equality.
but i believe in chivalry too.
and manliness for that matter.
sighh..
i hope the day doesnt come when drama serials show guys crying more often than girls.

i was sleepy.
and we did OSCILLATIONS for lab.

talk abt sleep inducing.
we finally did buffalo falling off the log for tap today.
and alot of reefs.
made shir and andrea happy girls.
audrey laughed until she cried when she saw my matric photo.
haha.only because i was laughing at other pple's photos first.
and mine is sooo horrid.
sighh.
jon and i are gonna be clowns tml.

i have a SIX HOUR LONG marathon of lessons tml.

i took the bus home from orchard today.
an uncle was good enough to move in order to make space for me.
and reminded me to tap my card.
resting against the entrance door of the bus.
looking out of the bus as cars whizzed by.
was almost surreal.
as the bus slipped out of the expressway.
a sudden wave of nostalgia hit me.
almost every other bus stop reminded me of moments.
it was as if every bus stop on both sides of the road.
hung a tag.
and on every tag was written a memory.
some bitter and some sweet.
but the train of thoughts just derailed when i alighted.
which was good.
i was starting to think too much again.
i dropped children's adventure tales.
and have taken up marketing.
i hope i made a right choice.
thanks so much zixiang for going out with me today.really did enjoy myself.
i am very thankful to have a good friend like you. really.
take care when you're in army. i'll be missing you.

The Atheist and the Shark
There is this atheist swimming in the ocean.
There is this atheist swimming in the ocean.
All of a sudden he sees this shark in the water,
so he starts swimming towards his boat.
As he looks back,he sees the shark turn and head towards him.
His boat is a ways off and he starts swimming like crazy.
He's scared to death, and as he turns to see
the jaws of the great white beast open,
revealing its teeth in a horrific splendor,
the atheist screams, "Oh God! Save me!"
In an instant time is frozen and a bright lightshines down from above.
The man is motionless in the water
when he hears the voice of God say,
"You are an atheist.Why do you call upon me
when you do not believe in me?"
Aghast with confusion and knowing he can't lie
the man replies, "Well, that's true I don't believe in you,but how about the shark?
Can you make the shark believe in you?"
The Lord replies, "As you wish,"
and the light retracted back into the heavens,
and the man could feel the water begin to move once again.
As the atheist looks back he can seethe jaws of the shark
start to close down on him,when all of sudden the shark stops and pulls back.
Shocked, the man looks at the shark
as the huge beast closes its eyes and bows its head
and says,"Thank you Lord for this food forwhich I am about to receive..."

and im going dinner with them on monday.
oh myy..i hope my wife doesnt start joining their conversation as well.

my darlings are losing it.
but im glad we're FINALLY meeting up for dinner.
and we squashies havent gone out in forever as well..
goodness.
its so hard to arrange outings nowadays.
today was good. shopping at the seiyu bazaar thingy at nanyang audi wasnt as fantastic as i thought it wld be..cos i walked out with no shoes purchased.haha.
but i bought hair rubber bands.
haha.
[the die-die-must-buy-smth mentality comes into play.haha.]
but it was interesting la..shopping within school campus.
played imagineiff with kenneth kim leechoon adrian jon enting and junxiang.
it was funn..haha..
imagining what kinda singer kenneth wld be..what kinda chair kimberly wld be..what kinda crime jon wld be..what i prioritise the most after religion..
it was fun la..considering im not that close to some of them..at least we had a time of playing.
during physics lecture today..
caroline : isnt it amazing how God created light and it is so complicated..like as a wave and particle. [not word for word exactly.]
but yeahh..it got me thinking abt Creation again.
all He did was spoke..
and TADAH! light..dual in nature.
and im spending 7 lectures just learning abt it..and how scientists tested and tested just to figure out what exactly light is.
amazing.
need to go meet zx soon.

today is my longest day.
felt funny the whole day after breakfast.
i was supposed to sleep during my 2 hr break.
but i cldnt sleep in caroline's room.
i just kept turning and turning.
cos my TUMMY kept churning and churning.
but she managed to sleep!
sob.
Xroads was good. [as always.]
and i have one more thing to add to my prayer list.
i'm running after You.
all 6 of them didnt come today though.
which is good..so i have to make new frens and socialise more.
i kept singing the song "no body loves me" to edwin.

need to start planning my songs for this saturday's worship.

i was so excited this morning when i read Genesis 9.
i was like..WOW!! its already written in the bible!! and its so scientific!!

i mean..of cos since young you know that there's a rainbow.and you learn about Noah and all.
but i didnt know that God was so specific as to mention that it would be SET IN A CLOUD.
YOU never cease to amaze me.

ok.i have given up on thinking so much.
its tiring.
anyhoo..
learnt how to do love letters yesterday.
as in..every year..i usually do the rolling part..
but yesterday aunt lin and aunt jen made me learn how to do the "toasting(?)".
i got the hang of it after a while.
and was quite good..when i was making more than burning them.
=)
was fun.
but sometimes i wish they dont probe me abt re's affairs.
if they wanna know they should just ask her.
i dont like being put in the spot.
sigh.the hazards of being the older cousin.
tuesday is yet another day of making chinese new year goodies.
but the worse[making pineapple tarts] has yet to come.
service was good. we discussed the different changes that we would like to see in our youth group structure and attitude and all.
its gonna be an exciting year.
today has been such a wonderful day to sleep!!
my goodness.
i love the weather.

my mummy cooked my fav. kuah ladah with stingray soup just now.
mmm-mmm. sedap!
quite sad that this week i wldnt be able to meet up with my darlings.

time of the year again.
when i start reflecting abt stuff.
asking questions that are hard to answer.
ive gone through so much last year.
and worried my wife a bit with some silly things i got very hung up with.
and now trying to grapple with feelings i am not allowed to.
i think ive built a wall unconsciously.
im being in too pensive a mood.
its starting to get me down a bit.

you can see so many stars.
i was just amazed.
i can just stand there and stare at the stars.
arent they amazing?
isnt the God who made it all even more so awesome?

i am so thankful for stars.

school has started today.
i love school.
just dont quite like the studying part.
rah.
but this sem..i must see it all in the light of studying abt Creation.
and try not to think of studying as too much of a burden.
i ponned my first lecture for the semester today.
chemistry.
feeling a bit guilty.
esp since dor said that we should be good testimonies.
haiz.
came home and have had this feeling to STUDY since.
i tried getting rid of the feeling.
but its still here.
sigh.GO AWAY I SAY!
played with my NICLAV just now.

its his birthday today.
at least i remembered it well this year.
i guess a part of me will always be his.
a minute part.
i dont regret our past.
i dont think i ever will.
just a chapter in my life that has ended and closed.
lessons learnt and pain not to be raked up again.
at least i didnt lose his friendship.
yupp.
on to the next chapter please!
committing my emotions all to Him.
school is starting again tomorrow.
new challenges.
need motivation once more.
